S53

EARLY SMOKE AND FIRE MONITOR

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
FIRE SAFETY

OVERVIEW

S53 Early Smoke & Fire Detection Monitor is an advanced industrial safety monitor that detects the earliest chemical signs of overheating, smouldering materials, and developing fire conditions, even in environments where conventional optical smoke detectors, thermal cameras, and flame detectors often struggle due to dust, contamination, or obstructed visibility.

SENSING CAPABILITIES

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

EARLY SMOKE & FIRE S53

REAL-TIME RELIABLITY

  • Continuously analyzes multiple combustion-related gases and environmental parameters using advanced sensor fusion algorithms
  • False alarm discrimination
  • Real-time data monitoring for dashboards, plant systems, or remote supervision

ROBUST & RELIABLE

  • 5-Year Sensor Life

USER-FRIENDLY & LOW MAINTENANCE

  • Up to 2 years between calibrations
  • Bump-test kit available
  • Low Maintenance and cleaning
  • Compact and easy wireless connection

    VISUAL & AUDIBLE ALERTS

    • Local visual alarm indication via multi-colour LED status ring
    • Audible alarm indication via onboard buzzer
    • Relay outputs for alarm, warning, or system status
    • Identify thermal degradation
    • Identify insulation breakdown
    • Identitfy early-stage combustion (often before visible smoke or flames appear.)
    • Temperatue/heat
    • Air quality index (AQI)
    • Barometric pressure (mb)
    • CO
    • CO2
    • SOx
    • VOCs
    • MOS
    • Smoke
    • Sensor fusion intellegence:
      • (AI & ML) Advanced edge processing analyzes multiple sensor signals simultaneously to identify patterns associated with overheating, smoldering materials, and early combustion. By correlating gas signatures, MOS responses, air quality indicators, and environmental changes, the S53 distinguishes normal industrial emissions from genuine fire risk conditions, significantly reducing nuisance alarms.

    COMMUNICATION INTERFACES & PROTOCOL OPTIONS

    • Standard: RS-485 with Modbus RTU
    • Optional: Ethernet with PoE (IEEE 802.3) and Modbus TCP/IP
    • Wireless options: M3SH Private 5G
    • System integration: Suitable for PLC, SCADA, fire alarm, suppression and site-wide monitoring systems

    MODELS

    • Intrinsic safe—Operating voltage: 9-48 VDC or 85-265 VAC
    • Non-Intrinsic safe—Operating voltage range 9-18VDC powered from an intrinsic safe power supply

    TEMPERATURE-STABILIZED MEASUREMENT CHAMBER

    • An actively sampled, temperature-stabilized measurement chamber with an integrated pump ensures representative air continuously passes across the sensors (for reliable performance even in dusty, humid, or low-airflow conditions)
